@ anyone who understands music
Ok so I was thinking of writing some music and I got a really cool chord progression so what do you think?
(It's sort of a Latin/Cuban beat)
Am9 / Gb7sus2 / C7/F / Badd9

I can't play the chords so I don't know what it sounds like exactly, but from memory the progression works pretty well!

for those of you wondering what it sounds like ^
as for my opinions on the progression, its pretty... jazzy? You'll have to expand on it if you want a latino feel, at the moment its not a lot of material to work with, but it's not a bad start. I'll see what i can do with it...
Also, nice to have another new yorker! welcome!

also don't feel the need to cram as many letters into your progressions as possible. In songwriting, specifically since you're gonna base the entire song around 4 chords, cohesion shouldn't be ignored

Re: @ anyone who understands music
aighttttt
i had a little fun with it, threw together some variations on the progression, ill attatch the sheet music 2
ive never actually written for drumset using musescore and it was being a pain so i just dropped the drums lel
i gave up trying to make it sound latino, if that's your goal I'd research latino music and make something a bit more appropriate for said genre, but all in all not a bad start

(u can tell i got bored by the end... im not a very high endurance composer)

Re: @ anyone who understands music
Thank you all for your ideas. With regards to Scherzy's comments, first off, I can not read sheet music to save my life, and second, I switched the second chord to F#mb5/D to get something like this.

Latino rhythms are all about the piano and the percussion (especially the 3-2 clicks). Also, the four chords I chose are just for the verses of the song.

Lol it's just what the chord I saw I'm not too good with aug/dim whatever, music theory isn't my greatest subject i just play which admittedly isn't the best thing to do. Also I'm not sure about the melody yet :/
