Thor: Ragnarok
Hey, these Marvel people are finally getting the hang of making movies. This one was really good too. It's like they've stopped taking themselves too seriously and started having some fun. I also approve of the haircut. 9/10

Recently saw the new movie Battle of the Sexes starting Emma Stone and Steve Carell. Loved it.

I watched Blade Runner 2049 - and wow. Of course, having watched the original will help, but on its own, it is incredible. In almost every area, it shines: the visuals are absolutely stunning; the actors and characters are perfect; and the soundtrack is fantastic, fitting with the cyberpunk theme and the original.

I absolutely loved the villains in this film, and it is worth a watch just for one of the most well-written villains I've ever seen, in my opinion.

A few qualms I have: it is quite long, and there are certainly some sections that could be shortened (about 10 to 20 minutes could've been shaved from the film); and the plot is confusing at times.

Other than that: a brilliant film.

Really good. VFX unsurprisingly great, nice story, tons of jokes, all in all a well made film

I feel like there's so much that I don't understand, but I feel like there is a lot that I did. I'm feeling strange now, but the movie is very good indeed.

Tokyo Godfathers

Its about a trio of homeless people, a teenage girl, an alcoholic and a former drag queen. On Christmas eve they find a baby and decide to return it to the parents.

It's really good and it handles comedy and serious-ness very well. 10/10 would watch again.

Glenn Close as Marple...?

Also I watched The Queen with Helen Mirren last night (im a staunch republican on a monarchy bent thanks to the Crown). At one point Tony Blair says "for the many, not the few" and I died of laughter
