For 295 days now I've been spending about 2 or 3 minutes a day learning French with Duolingo, and it actually seems to be effective despite this very minimal investment of time and the fact that I failed miserably at learning French in school.

I haven’t stopped smiling today, for some reason I’m really happy :D (for about a week I’ve been pretty down so feels great)

So I guess being alive made me smile today :)

I was recently chosen to be Acting Coordinator (basically the boss :P) of our local Green Party, and last night I chaired a meeting for the first time in my life. It went really well. It was actually an EGM; it went on for about 2 hours and we got a lot of stuff done.

I started off with a joke, which I was happy drew some good laughs:
Let me start by saying that I have reluctantly agreed to be Acting Coordinator for the time being. I'd like to apologise in advance if I don't seem that well-coordinated — I really am only acting. :P

(I was actually elected to be Coordinator proper at the meeting, so I'm glad I made use of my one opportunity to use this joke :D)
